Your Weekend Guide to the 2013 Branford Festival

Wondering what's happening at the Branford Festival today? What roads are closed? Here's your answer.


The 2013 Branford Festival opens today with entertainment, rides, games and, of course, food! In addition to those things, each day has its own special lineup. Here's what you can expect throughout the weekend of fun!

And with the Festival and Sunday's Road Race, there will also be some road closures and parking restrictions. Here are the road closures and parking bans.

And don't forget – if you take some great pictures, share them with the community by posting to our Around Town Board

Friday, June 14

The festival runs from 4:45 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Opening celebration with the raising of the Festival Flag at 5 p.m. on the Town Hall Stage (THS)
  • Branford High School at 5:45 p.m. (THS)
  • John Moss Scholarship presentation at 6:45 p.m. (THS)
  • The Syndicate at 7 p.m. (THS)
  • Introduction: The Chicago Experience at 8:45 p.m. (THS)


Saturday, June 15

The festival runs from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Performances on the Main Street Stage include Lunchbox at 9 a.m.; NBX and the Ya Ya Trio at 10 a.m.; Common Ground at 11 a.m.; Wayne and Chris at noon; The Rubber Band at 1 p.m.; and DizzyFish at 2 p.m.

Performances on the Back Stage from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. include Dance Unlimited, Sliney Singers, Studio Z Zumba, Puppet Healing: A Russian Puppet Show, Studio One Dance Center, WIS Choir, WIS Band, Branford Chorale, Streams (band), Lori and Fred (band), Neighbor Dog (band), Crash Barr (band), Something Simple (band), Trinity Boys Choir and Branford Early Learning Center Dancers.


Sunday, June 16

The festival runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
