Calling All Creekers!

My husband and I have lived in Stony Creek for 14 years. We love this area and have had the good fortunate to meet and know many good neighbors and friendly business owners. That is why I am hoping all the nice folks out there can help me locate Silver, this little runaway cat of mine.
Silver and her twin brother, Copper, were born in Florida. They walked up to my mom's house with their mother and we started feeding them and, when they were older, I trapped them and took them to a mobile vet unit to get spayed and neutered (both have their right ears tipped). They both become more socialized and, in 2009, they came up here to live with us. Ever since then, they have not been outside, nor did they ever again seem interested in going back to living that kind of life!
Last Friday, August 9, I took Silver to a local vet for her shots. I was heaving a sigh of relief that we had arrived at our front door and nothing had happened when WHAM! the door on the cat carrier flew open and Silver bolted into some bushes. I went around to see where she had gone, and there was no trace of her. I called, I looked, I searched - nothing.
Since then, I have looked up and down Thimble Islands Road, gone around to School Street and back up 146, dipping into neighbor's yards, rattling the food container, all to no avail. I gave out some postcards and am going to print and distribute some more. There's a lost-and-found link on the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter's web page, and I put an ad there. Flyers have been put up and I am taking picture postcards to local vets and animal shelters. I'm offering a reward to anyone who can help me get her back safely. She's lost, hungry and terrified. Loud noises and most people will frighten her off, but she's better than she used to be about that. I am utterly consumed with finding her, and all I need is a sighting - I really need your help in bringing my shy little girl back home safe and sound. Just comment on this blog if you've seen Silver and we'll take it from there.
Thanks for caring, people of Branford!
