BLL 9-10 All-Stars Capture District 4 Title!

Congrats to Branford Little League's 10U All-Star baseball team on winning the District IV title and to the 11U and 12U teams for finishing as runners-up.

While many of us are trying to avoid the heat, Branford Little League's 9-10 All-Star baseball team is bringing it. The 10U squad captured the District 4 title on July 15. The Branford All-Stars topped Milford International 7-5 in the championship game.

Branford started the Championships with the semifinals on July 13 against Orange.  The game was called due to rain in the top of the second inning with Orange ahead 5-3.

The game resumed on Sunday where Branford fell behind 9-3. Branford battled back and tied the score 9-9 in the 6th. Branford squeezed out Orange for an 11-10 win in the 8th inning to head to the Championship game.

Branford arrived on fire to play Milford International in the District Championship game, coming out strong to score two runs in the 1st inning and two in the 2nd inning to go up 4-0. In the 6th, Branford was ahead 7-2, but Milford scored three in the bottom of the 6th. It wasn't enough, though, as Branford held on for the 7-5 win and the District 4 title.
