Branford GOP Selects Jamie Cosgrove As Its First Selectman Candidate
Unless something changes, Cosgrove will be the Republican candidate this November.
Tuesday night, the Branford Republican Town Committee agreed to nominate Jamie Cosgrove as its candidate for First Selectman this November.
The New Haven Register reports that Cosgrove earned the nomination over Kurt Schwanfelder, who said after the meeting that he would not force a primary. Cosgrove works at his family’s business, Cosgrove Construction, and is a member of the Board of Selectman. Joseph Higgins will run as his second-selectman.
“The next few months I am going to continue to earn the support and respect of the citizens of Branford,” Cosgrove told the newspaper.
