Boat Crashes Into Mermaids on Sunday Night
Branford Fire Department's Marine 5 responded to a boat crash on Sunday night.
A boat crashed onto the "Mermaids" on Sunday night, according to the Branford Fire Department's Facebook page.
According to the Facebook post, "a male party was slightly injured and brought into the Town Dock by Marine-5 where he was transported to the hospital by Medic-2 with minor injuries. The Coast Guard and the CT DEEP are investigating the accident."
A Patch reader witnessed the incident saying the boat crashed into Mermaid Island right before entering the Branford Harbor around 9:30 p.m.
