ShoreGrass at Rolly's Ride Smilow Cancer Benefit

ShoreGrass will provide music from 1-2:00 at this benefit for patients of the Smilow Cancer Center at YNHH.  The event is a poker run in honor of Rolly Dahlin, a musician and lover of bluegrass!

From his daughter Linda:

We are holding a fundraiser in Branford, CT.  Rolly's Ride is a Poker Run fundraiser for motorcyclists to benefit the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven, CT.  It is named after my Dad, Rolly Dahlin, who lost his fight to cancer last February.  our goal is to raise funds to benefit patients battling cancer at the Smilow Cancer Hospital.  Our hope is to ease the financial strain on patients who struggle to get the care they need during their treatment.  100% of our funds raised will go directly to Smilow Cancer Hospital.

Our first annual charity event will be held this year on May 11, 2013 at the Branford Elks Club, Branford, CT.  Rolly was a fine musician in his own right playing banjo, guitar and anything else he could get his hands on.  This will be a fine tribute to him and to our worthy cause.
