Classical Music in Classic Cartoons
Nicole Biamonte, Assistant Professor of Music Theory at McGill University in Montreal, will explore music, visual elements, and meaning in vintage cartoons with famous classical soundtracks.
Dr. Biamonte holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory from Yale University, and a B.F.A. in Piano from SUNY Purchase. She recently published an edited collection of essays entitled Pop Culture Tools for the Classroom, and has also published articles on rock, jazz, and Beethoven.
