BRANFORD ROTARY BENEFIT GOLF
TOURNEY
The Branford Rotary Club is launching
its inaugural Spring Golf Classic on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, situated at the
scenic Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club, 2 Club Parkway, Branford. The schedule
is as follows: 10:00 am: registration, driving range & putting green open;
11:00 am: lunch; 12:00 pm: shotgun start (scramble); cocktail hour, dinner,
raffle & auction will follow.
Prizes to be awarded
include Longest Drive, Men &
Women Closest to the Pin (4) Gross Score for 1st, 2nd and last place, and
HOLE-IN-ONE.
Registration is $150 per golfer. Appropriate attire is required.
Spectators are welcome. Dinner is available for non-golfers at $40.
The Rotary tournament is a
fundraiser for local charities--Branford Food Pantry which provides groceries
for families in need; the Dave Blitz Memorial Scholarship Fund; Branford Rotary
Foundation, which empowers Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill,
and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the
alleviation of poverty; Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a facility dedicated to
providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their
families free of charge, located in northern Connecticut, and to local
veterans’ groups to be determined.

The Rotary Club of
Branford is an organization of women and men representing a cross-section of
local business and professional leaders, living and/or employed in Branford,
who work as volunteers on a variety of local and international projects to
improve the quality of life in their home and world communities.
The Branford Rotary Club
meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Parthenon Diner, E.
Main St. Guests of members are welcome to attend luncheons, and membership inquiries are encouraged.
