Connecticut's Erin Brady Wins Miss USA with Help from Branford Salon

Did you know that the newly crowned Miss USA has Branford ties? She has her hair done at Allusions HairSalon.

A Connecticut woman took home top prize at the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas Sunday night!

Erin Brady, 25, who is originally from East Hampton, got the crown — and a year in a New York apartment — after telling judges that she agreed with the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to uphold widespread DNA testing. She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

Allusions HairSalon, owned by Francine Capozzo Piscitelli, played a role as well as Brady has her hair done at the Branford salon.

Brady wore a white gown during the pageant, as well as an orange two-piece suit during the swimwear portion of the show. The show was broadcast on NBC Sunday night.

The show was hosted by Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and Giuliana Rancic, host of "E! News." The contest was judged by "Biggest Loser" trainer Bob Harper, comedian Mo Rocca and fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

Brady will represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow on November 9.
