Francis Walsh Intermediate School

<p>When Francis Walsh Intermediate School was built in 1972 — then called Branford Intermediate School — the facility was characterized by classrooms with no walls, emphasizing an open-space, community style of learning. Today, a number of classroom walls have been built, but the open-school feeling still exists.</p> <p>WIS is one of three schools in Branford offering a school-based health center, a fully licensed health clinic designed to address the physical and emotional needs of adolescents. All students are eligible to enroll and receive services free of charge.</p> <p>Robin B. Goeler is principal.</p> <hr />
