Week Ahead in Branford: Strong Seniors & Book Sale
Here's a quick look at what's happening in town this week. As always, you can add your organizations' events to the Patch calendar.
Monday, Sept. 16
Are you a senior citizen who wants to stay healthy and active for many, many more years? Then come to the Canoe Brook Senior Center at 11 Cherry Hill Road for VNA Community Healthcare's exercise class. 11am. The cost is $15 for a 12-week series. Call 203-458-4351 to register.
Stop by Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream at 978 Main Street from 6-9pm, buy a cone, and help support the Tisko Elementary School PTA.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
The town's Board of Selectmen meet at 6pm at the Fire headquarters, 45 North Main Street.
At 7pm, the town's Board of Education meet at the Walsh Intermediate School, 185 Damascus Road.
Friday, Sept. 20
The Blackstone Memorial Library Book public sale takes place today and this weekend. Hours on Friday are from 9am to 8pm. Look for the giant tents on the Branford Town Green. (Note: Thursday night's sale is for Friends of the Library members only)
