The East Shore District Health Department will hold a Flu Clinic at 2pm at Branford Town Hall. They accept most insurance including: Anthem BC/BS, Connecticare, Medi-Blue, Medicare Part B and Cigna. The cost of vaccine for those not covered by insurance is $25. Children younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent. Flu vaccinations will also be available every Thursday as a drop in during November or by appointment at other times at the Health Department during October, November, December and January. Call 203-481-4233 to schedule your vaccination or for questions.

Join Vegan Chefs Mark Shadle & Ami Beach of G-Zen Restaurant at the Blackstone Library at 6:30pm for a discussion on the benefits of a plant-based diet, raw foods, juicing, and organic cuisine. They’ll demonstrate how to make some fabulous recipes, and will share suggestions for exploring this way of eating (and living). Ami will also be talking about her newly published book called Total Body Reboot - a plant-based home cleansing program & lifestyle book.
