Food Allergy Discussion, Branford Town Meetings and More

This week, learn more about food allergies, support the Branford Hornets, attend a town meeting, check out the Blackstone Library programs and get ready for Mother's Day!

1. Food Allergy Discussion: If your family is affected by food allergies, check out this free presentation at the Women & Family Life Center in Guilford Food Allergies 2013: Where we've been...what is new – on Monday, May 6.

2. BHS Sports: The Branford Hornets continue their spring seasons with homes contests for baseball, golf, boys' lacrosse, girls' lacrosse, boys' tennis, girls' tennis, softball and boys' track. For their full schedule, check out the CIAC's website

3. Branford Town Meetings: This week, meetings include the Select Committee on Open Space Acquisition and the RTM Education Committee on Monday, May 6; the RTM Rules & Ordinances Committee on Tuesday, May 7; Town Center Revitalization Review Board, SCRCOG Transportation Committee, Regional Water District-Land Use Committee, BOE Personnel & Finance Committee, Board of Recreation, BOE Communications Committee, RTM Ways & Means Committee (Special) and Solid Waste Management Commission on Wednesday, May 8; and the ACES Governing Board, Parker Memorial Park Commission, East Shore District Health Department, Veterans Parade Committee and Inland Wetlands Commission on Thursday, May 9.

4. Fun at the Blackstone Libary: The library offers a full calendar of events with activities for all ages including story hours for children, knitting groups, yoga and more.

5. Looking Ahead: Don't forget that Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12. Patch brought you a photo gallery of Mother's Day gifts you can get at the shops along the Branford Green.
