Countdown to the Branford Fest and More Events This Week

Here are some things to know about the coming week in Branford, which will be capped off by the 29th annual Branford Festival to be held on the Branford Green from June 14-16.

Monday, June 11

• Grand Opening celebration at Hanami II beginning at noon
• Growing Irises in Connecticut at the Branford Community House at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 12

• Medicaid (Title 19) and Medicare – Free Workshop at 2 p.m. at the Blackstone Library
• Sit-Stay-Read at the Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 4 p.m.
• Food Fun and Games with the Community Dining Room on the Branford Green at 5:30 p.m.
• Film: A Place at the Table at the Blackstone at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 12

• Starbucks Coffee Company Hiring Fair beginning at 10 a.m. at Starbucks

Branford Town Meetings: This week, meetings include the Regional Water District Finance Committee; Board of Police Commissioners and Traffic Committee; and RTM Administrative Services Committee on Monday, June 10; Human Service Board, Shellfish Commission, RTM Public Services (Special) and WPCA on Tuesday, June 11; Town Center Revitalization Review Board, SCRCOG Transportation Committee, BOE sub-committees, Public Works Building Committee, Board of Recreation, Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library, Solid Waste Management Commission and RTM on Wednesday, June 12; and ACES Governing Board, Parker Memorial Park Commission, ESDHD and Inland Wetlands Commission on Thursday, June 13.
