Celebrate the Fourth of July and More Branford Events This Week

It's a short work-week for most with the Fourth of July. What are you doing to celebrate? Here are some ideas.

Here's a peek at what's happening in town this week. For a full list of stuff to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

Celebrate the Fourth of July: While Branford's fireworks have been set off, there are still lots of fireworks displays that we've mapped out for you. And remember that Town Hall and the Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Thursday's trash pickup will be delayed by one day.

Stony Creek to Venice Photo Exhibit Opens: Head to Thimbleberry Cafe to check out local photographer Fred Rosenthal's new exhibit, Stony Creek to Venice … and a Few Stops In Between, that opens on Thursday, July 4 and runs through Labor Day.

Check Out the Library: In addition to an amazing selection of books, the Blackstone Library has a full calendar of events and museum passes, too! This week, the library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 and be closed on Thursday, July 4.
