Can You Help Kaitlin Volunteer at a Guatemalan Orphanage?

This week, Patch highlights a story featured on the GoFundMe fundraising website where people ask their community for help as they face illness or injuries; or to assist in funding volunteer work or other ventures.

Sometimes, we all need a helping hand. Neighbors, friends and families of those in need are reaching out to the community via the fundraising site GoFundMe. They’re raising funds for various causes including those who have suffered great losses as well funding trips for volunteer work.

Some of the people featured reside in Branford or the shoreline; others have a connection to the town. For more information, visit their GoFundMe page, shown below.

Kaitlin is asking the public's help in her quest to travel to Guatemala to help children in need at a local orphanage. She has been accepted into the International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) program. To read more about Kaitlin's plans, click here to bring you to her GoFundMe page.
