The Branford Rotary presented New Haven Home Recovery, Inc. and Life Haven, Inc. with a check to support the agencies’ family shelters at their Monday June 11, 2012 meeting.
“New Haven Home Received 146 phone calls from families in need of shelter during the month of May,” reported Kellyann Day, Executive Director of NHHR, “Funding to operate the shelters in New Haven is critical.”
Alpha Coiro, President of Branford Rotary Club, spoke on behalf of the Rotarians and expressed her appreciation for the work the agencies do to assist women and children most in need while presenting the donations.
New Haven Home Recovery (NHHR) Inc. was established in 1990 to provide emergency shelter for families, and is working in the New Haven area to address the housing and support service needs of women with children. NHHR provides services to families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
