Hornets Basketball Seniors Get Send Off, Graduated Students Having Success at College Level

Some former BHS athletic standouts are still performing in college and the boys' basketball seniors get their send off.

Esborn Playing Well at Clark University

Former Branford High basketball standout Tucker Esborn has found success at Clark University, where he is a sophomore. Esborn is the fourth leading scorer for the Cougars, averaging almost seven points a game. The 6' 5" Esborn is one of the team's leading rebounders, pulling down more than four a game. During a four game stretch in January and early February, Esborn led the team in rebounding three times. His season high came against Springfield College on Jan. 26, when he grabbed 10 rebounds. The Division III Clark University is currently 10-14 and in fourth place in the New England Men's Athletic Conference. Clark finished its regular season schedule Saturday.

Last year, Esborn helped lead Clark into the Division III NCAA tournament. In the opening round game against Albright College, Esborn scored eight points and had five rebounds.
