The 1st Annual Rotary Club of Branford Golf Classic will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club, 2 Club Parkway, Branford, as announced by project leader, Ed Vescovi.  This is another opportunity for the public to become involved and support a worthy fundraiser.

 

Schedule of Events: 10:00 am: Registration, Driving Range & Putting Green Open; 11:00 am: Lunch; 12:00 pm: Shotgun Start (Scramble Format) Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Raffle & Auction to follow. Proper golf attire and spikeless shoes are required.  Jeans will not be permitted. Registration is $150 per golfer.

 

Prizes Awarded for Longest Drive--Men & Women, Closest to the Pin (4), Gross Score for 1st, 2nd & last place, and HOLE-IN-ONE!

 

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project whose purposes are to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members and to help injured service members aid and assist each other. Branford Food Pantry whose mission is to providing groceries for families in need. Branford Rotary Foundation which enables local Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

 

The Rotary Club of Branford was chartered in 1928 and has a solid history of humanitarian and community service and leadership in Branford and along the shoreline. The club will celebrate its 84th anniversary on October 15, 2012. It has a membership of 60 business and professional women and men who reside and work in Branford.
