Branford Hockey Takes on Hand in SCC Finals Tonight

The Hornets and the Tigers face off for the SCC title tonight at 6 p.m. at Quinnipiac University. Will you be there?

 

The Branford High School hockey team finished the regular season with a 12-6-2 record to earn a place in the Southern Connecticut Conference championship. The Hornets will face off against a familiar foe – Daniel Hand of Madison – tonight, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. at Quinnipiac University's High Point Solutions Arena.

 The Tigers enter tonight's game with a 10-6-3 regular-season record. Due to weather, Hand still has one regular-season game remaining as it faces East Catholic on Feb. 28.

Branford opened the regular season with a 2-1 win over Hand on Dec. 13. The teams battled to a 2-2 tie in the rematch on Jan. 23. Both teams skate out of Northford Ice Pavilion.
