Branford Coach Thrilled at Lacrosse Gaining Popularity
Branford boys lacrosse assistant coach Frank Barron says it means more teams and more All-American spots for Connecticut.

According to an article this week in the New Haven Register, the sport’s increased popularity is exciting for Branford assistant coach, and former head coach, Frank Barron, who also serves as Connecticut boys lacrosse liaison to United States Lacrosse, the national governing body.
Barron said he is happy to see more schools in the state with lacrosse teams, because that increases the number of All-Americans and Academic All-Americans that U.S. Lacrosse allows for Connecticut.
