Tears and Cheers was the theme this morning at where first-time kindergarten parents said goodbye to their new elementary students.
The Tisko PTA* hosted a Tears and Cheers back to school breakfast for all new parents at Tisko School. Parents came together over bagels and coffee to discuss what their morning was like and ask any questions about Tisko. Many even volunteered to sign up for activities that will be hosted throughout the year. One mom who said farewell to her youngest child just starting kindergarten needed a moment to catch her breath. She did so and then smiled as she grabbed a cup of coffee and began to talk about how excited her children were to start school. For most families, it was only the parents who shed a tear.
