Thunder Showers Dampen Branford Graduation Plans
The graduation ceremony has been moved indoors due to rain.
In Branford center, walkers dart between buildings and their cars or huddle beneath their umbrellas. Bicyclists cower under long rain coats. And the tents set up for tonight's Branford High School Graduation ceremony are empty, dripping water. Given the current weather conditions and the soggy state of the green, administrators have moved the graduation ceremony indoors.
The new location for graduation is the Dr. Edmund C. Higgins Student Center at Branford High School. Timing for the event has not changed: students should be present at 5 p.m., when they will meet in the Old Gym. The Processional begins at 6 p.m.
Because seating is now limited, students may use four tickets for friends and family to be admitted to the ceremony. However, to accommodate overflow, graduation will be simulcast live in the Auditorium. No ticket is required to attend the overflow event.

And consider packing your umbrella.
