Last week the Choir (and supporting band) enthralled the community with a on the Green. While the set list was all about paying homage to classic rock legends like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Toto, the main goal of the event was to sell CDs (“,” recorded at Yale’s Woolsey Hall) to benefit the’s Basic Needs Program.
Center Director Pat Andriole said about 150 cds were sold last week at the outdoor concert but the group has much loftier goals. They are hoping, she said, to sell 800 cds total, which would provide the counseling center with $25,000.
"Once you hear the cd, it's like the New York Symphony and the Opera," said Andriole, who has been playing the two-disc set on repeat since she purchased it. "It's wonderful," she added, "and I think anyone who does buy it will be thrilled with it"
Of the live performance on the Green, Andriole said she was mesmerized with the singing talent. "What I loved about this concert," she said, "was that it was for a purpose too. I love that part of it"
