Sliney Kindergartners Splash to School
With a light rain falling parents bid goodbye to their little ones as the first day of school got underway!
Students of school marched up the stairs this morning, some clad in rain slickers and others braving the elements sans rain gear, as the official first day of school began.
While the older students, grades first to fourth, headed to their lockers and classrooms, the tiny kindergartners met in the cafeteria before heading off to class.
Parents helped students out of raincoats and closed a plethora of umbrellas – a last chance to attend to their children before it was time to say goodbye.

Sitting at long tables by class assignment, the students settled in, met one another and several kids got right to playing games to pass the time. Parents filtered out and it was time for the 2011-12 school year to begin.
