Rain Expected Today While Parts of State to Get Snow

Branford is expected to get rain today but like other counties, remains in a winter weather advisory state through the morning.

There’s 100 percent chance of precipitation today according to the National Weather Service but those looking for an excuse to cut out of work or school early due to the white stuff will be sad to learn that Branford is expected to get doused in mostly rain.

“Rain and snow likely before 1 pm,” the NWS reports, “then rain between 1pm and 3 pm, then snow after 3 pm.” The daytime accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch. Highs today will be near 37 degrees with east wind between 5 and 11 mph.

Branford students have school and after-school activities as scheduled.
