Stephen Perrotti, Student Council co-president of BHS's Class of 2013, shares what he'll miss the most about BHS as he heads to Villanova University in the fall.

As we count down to graduation on Wednesday, June 26 for Branford High School's Class of 2013, we're taking some time to get to know some of the top students of the graduating class.

Today, meet Stephen Perrotti, Student Council co-president of BHS's Class of 2013, who shares what he'll miss the most about BHS after he heads to Villanova University.

What activities were you involved in throughout high school? Student Council (Co-President), Model Congress (Co-President), Cross Country, indoor track (captain), Outdoor Track, Mission Trip through First Congregational Church, National Honor Society (Officer)

What was your favorite subject?
 Biology

Who was your favorite/most influential teacher?
Mr. Petela.  He really believed in my abilities to succeed both in class and in Model Congress, even before I'd given him much reason to.  He's been a guiding force in my high school career that I was extremely fortunate to have.

What are your future plans?
I will be attending Villanova University to study Biology and after, I hope to potentially go to medical school or to graduate school for bioengineering.

What is the key to your success? Determination. I've always liked the cliche "If you never quit, you can never fail." That's definitely been my mantra for all parts of my life and it has served me well.

Is there anyone you would like to thank? My parents and all my teachers for helping me through these four great years at BHS.

What will you miss about BHS? The people. There are so many amazing people that I've had the pleasure of getting to know and who I am going to miss seeing everyday. Branford's a remarkably nice and caring school community that I am really going to miss.
