Meet Kaitlyn Robbins, President of BHS's Class of 2013

Though Kaitlyn Robbins looks forward to her future, she will miss her "home away from home" at Branford High School.

As we count down to graduation on Wednesday, June 26 for Branford High School's Class of 2013, we're taking some time to get to know some of the top students of the graduating class.

Today, meet Kaitlyn Robbins, class president of BHS's Class of 2013, who shares the key to her success at Branford High School.

What activities were you involved in throughout high school? Class President (4 years), captain of field hockey team, spring musicals, model congress officer, concert choir, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and World Language National Honor Society.

What was your favorite subject?
AP Environmental (took last year). If I have to choose this year, it would be World Views.

Who was your favorite/most influential teacher?
 Mr. Park (junior year)

What are your future plans?
Attending Tulane University in New Orleans and planning to major in Environmental Studies

What is the key to your success? There really is no one key to success. My philosophy is all about trying to do all you can, the best you can, and investing yourself in every moment. The standards and goals I set for myself keep me motivated too.

Is there anyone you would like to thank? I would like to be cliché and thank my parents. They are the two best people I could've asked for as role models. I would also like to thank all the teachers at BHS who have contributed to giving me a fantastic four years of high school.

What will you miss about BHS? A lot of things. As much as I am ready for a new adventure, BHS has been my home away from home. I will miss the good times I have had here, but I am grateful I at least have so many wonderful memories to bring with me.
