Branford resident A.J. Carfora no longer plays lacrosse for the Hornets, but he has been making a name for himself as a standout defensemen at The Salisbury School.
Carfora was named to the first team defense for the Western New England Prep School Lacrosse Association League. Currently, he is a junior at Salisbury School in Salisbury. Carfora played lacrosse at for two years.
The five-foot-ten, 190-pound Carfora has given a verbal committment to play lacrosse at Penn State.

This year, Carfora helped Salisbury to an 11-3 record. They were the 15th ranked prep school in the nation, according to MaxPreps. In Connecticut, they were the top ranked prep school program. To see a video of Carfora in action, click here.
