Cedar Woods taking part in Veterans History Project
The public is invited to a presentation by Eileen Hurst, the Director of Central Connecticut State University’s Veterans History Project, on Jan. 25 at 2:00 p.m.
The national Veterans History Project was created in 2000 when the U.S. Congress voted unanimously to preserve and archive the oral histories of men and women who have served in any of our country’s wars or any civilian who supported the war effort.
The project, housed at the U.S. Library of Congress in Washington D.C., collects and preserves the taped interviews, photographs and documents of veterans from World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, and Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts.
