Breast Cancer Support Group

The Breast Cancer Support Group of The Cancer Support Community - Southern Connecticut (CSC-SCT) is one of only two breast cancer support programs between New Haven and Old Saybrook, and hopes to expand.

The free breast cancer support group meets 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the newly renovated Orchard House, 421 Shore Drive.

The group offers a comfortable atmosphere in which to learn how to deal holistically with their diagnosis. The facilitator, Deborah Del Vecchio-Scully, MS, LPC, NCC, is a nationally certified and licensed professional counselor with extensive experience and training in providing cancer support. Her Holistic Wellness Program for Breast Cancer was recognized nationally as a best practices model by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Registration is required for the group, call 203-483-4227 or visit www.cancersupportcommunitysct.org.
