Branford School District Health and Wellness Committee Meets Tonight

Do you have kids under 10? The District Health and Wellness Committee hosts an informational session focusing on the physical health of children tonight.

 

Branford Public Schools will hold its first District Health and Wellness Committee informational session focusing on the physical health of children tonight at 6 p.m. at Indian Neck School.

Parents will be able to learn:

Find out what's happening in Branfordwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • A brief overview of the four areas of Wellness and how they interrelate
  • Ways your child is learning to be physically healthy in school
  • Exercises that can be done with your child at home
  • Family hiking spots that are great for kids and nature goers

The session will focus on children up to age 10. Don't have childcare? It is available for up to 20 children by contacting Wendy Miller at wemiller@branfordschools.org.

Guest speakers include Dr. Bill Lordan, Marco Imperati (elementary PE teacher), Meredith Gaffney (parent), Wendy Miller (FRC coordination) and Keith Spaar (trail expert).
