Branford's Hip Hop Champions!
Congrats to the Branford High School and Francis Walsh Intermediate School hip hop dance teams, who both took home top places in the 2012 National Dance Team Championship.
This weekend, Branford’s best dancers competed in the UDA 2012 National Dance Team Championship at Walt Disney World's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
’s arrived at the semifinals this weekend among more than 12 groups from around the country and placed fourth overall. The competed against 17 other teams in the semi-finals and also placed fourth. Last year WIS Hip Hop team also took home fourth place in the competition.
The high school squad is led by Jackie Dunn, a special education teacher at and the middle school group is led by teachers Jaime Sebring and Meg Heath and assisted by Branford High School sophomore Gina Marino.
