Which CT Towns Pay the Most State Taxes?

Mapping Connecticut by state income tax paid per capita.

Less related to patriotism than this week’s theme — tax collection — the map above shows Connecticut broken out by state income tax paid per capita (by number of returns filed).

Fairfield County towns make up all but one of the Top 10 (with New Haven County’s Woodbridge in at No. 9) and the state’s major cities pay the lowest per capita, with Bridgeport and Hartford at 168 and 169, respectively.

While color-coded by state income tax, the map above also has information on each town’s local tax collection rate.

Find out more about that metric here, including lists of the towns with the highest and lowest rates, as well as a discussion on the patriotism of taxes.

If you tap the map & then tap each on town, it gives a lot information.... G/L

It does tell you if you select the map then tap on each town!!! However, it's missing the most taxed areas, "the boroughs"!!! Jewett City pays Griswold taxes & then pays even more in taxes to the borough!!! That's why Jewett City will ALWAYS be rich owned w/ poor renting!!! Sad!!!

Fighting more tax collections is patriotic. We weren't built as a Socialist country for a good reason.
