Two Public Hearings on Branford Firearm Sales to Be Held Next Week

The newly formed Branford RTM Firearm Sales Ad Hoc Committee to host public hearings on March 14 and March 16.

After some residents expressed concerns when TGS Outdoors opened downtown in the former Arabella storefront as the shop sells firearms among its sporting goods, the Branford RTM Firearm Sales Ad Hoc Committee was formed.

The committee held its first meeting (minutes attached) on Feb. 26 "to consider and, if appropriate, adopt a new ordinance concerning the restriction of sales of firearms and ammunition in certain areas of town such as within close proximity of a school, park, playground, etc."
