If your taxes went from $17,000 a year to $85,000, would you not fight this? Mr. Cooke seems to have a legitimate gripe with those parties named, and I wish him well. And I am speaking as a new resident of Branford, so I have no affiliations with either side.

Wayne Cooke spends his time, effort and money to keep our political leaders honest. You may not agree with his method, but you have to respect his motives. He does what all of us should be do when we are aggrieved by our government officials. What he has on his side is time. Politicians come and go. His family has occupied that disputed land for over a 150 years. He will win his dispute with the Town.

Because the Cooke Family was here from the 1700 They helped shape the town They had the best apple cider and pies than anyone else. His roots are here in Branford I can bet if the town and it's leaders were doing the same thing to you I can bet you too would be bitching and fighting for your rights.

I wish the Cookie monster well and hope he wins this fight. It is sad but this time it will also bring down the town and the cost will end up in the towns lap. He isn't fighting over making any money he just wants the leaders of this town to be honest and fair with everyone. DeRos has issues because he was caught lying so he used his power over others to go after Mr Cooke. This should have been fix years ago, but DeRos has broken the law too many times now it's his time to be on the other side of the bar.
