After hours and hours of budget hearings last week, the will offer their proposed budget based on the current requested budget (see attached PDF).
and the , who presented before the BOF last week, have requested a near $98 million package in total. The BOE has requested $50,632,604 – a 2.97 percent increase over last year.
The mill rate is proposed at this point at 25.43 – a 4.78 percent increase over last year or 1.16 mills. The total budget request of $97,954,514 is a 4.6 percent request over , which was amended at $93,657,715.
Patch will be at the meeting tonight as the BOF sets their recommended budget. From there, Branford Representative Town Meeting committees will have to take the numbers back to committee to finalize. There will be no additional funds added to the budget once the BOF makes their recommendations this evening.
