Feds Begin $13.5 Million Army Training Facility Project

The facility will house 300 weekend reservists for classes.

The federal government paid $3.7 million for a 15-acre parcel at 777-779 East Main Street in Branford, which is about one mile east of Leetes Island Road. 
Now the federal government has commenced on a $13.5 million project, which will house classes for 300 weekend reservists. The facility will be known as the Bridgeport Army Reserve Center, the New Haven Register says. 
The project is expected to be completed by January 2016.
