Calling All Small Business Owners

Don't miss the chance to meet with the state's commissioner for economic and community development.

Catherine Smith, Connecticut’s Commissioner for Economic and Community Development, January 19, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the .

Smith’s visit will provide the shoreline business community with details of the various pro-business measures approved in November by the General Assembly at its special session.

The new measures were designed to spur job creation, innovation and business growth across the state. This outreach program is part of a larger strategy to reinvent Connecticut and to let businesses know firsthand how these measures can positively impact them.

The two-hour session will begin at 8:30 a.m. at , located at 46 Church Street [two blocks from and the ] on Jan. 19.

In addition to a presentation by Commissioner Smith, businesses will also be able to meet one-on-one with economic development specialists from DECD for specific details and to access fast-track assistance from the state.
