Branford Dems Has Its Man For First Selectman: Andy Campbell
Last week, the town's DTC nominated Campbell for First Selectman as Chris Sullivan pulled out of the race.
Late last week, the Branford Democratic Town Committee nominated Andy Campbell as its candidate for First Selectman this November, after fellow Democrat Chris Sullivan dropped out of the race.
Campbell is set to take on Republican Jamie Cosgrove and Independent Jacey Wyatt as longtime First Selectman Anthony "Unk" DaRos announced earlier this year he would not seek another term. The New Haven Register reports that Sullivan dropped out of the race to unify the town's democrats behind Campbell, who currently serves on the Board of Selectmen.
"It’s a great feeling having the support of my party,” Campbell told the newspaper. “I’ve been a lifelong Democrat and I’m proud of that endorsement.”
