Recent Arrests Include Several Drug-Related Incidents
The following arrest information was supplied by the Branford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
August 8
Richard Thomas Smith, 26, of New Haven was arrested at 9 a.m. for sixth-degree larceny. The court date was set for Aug. 8.

Owen Bloomquist, 21, of Branford was arrested at 2:47 a.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance < 4 ounces of marijuana, possession near a school (within 1,500 feet). In the same incident Bryan P. Maturo, 22, of Branford and Garrett Pierpont, 20, of Branford were arrested for possession of marijuana (less than one half ounce). Bloomquist is due in New Haven Court on Aug. 16; Maturo and Pierpont are due in New Haven Court on Aug. 19.
August 5

Alexander Spears, 19, of East Haven was arrested at 4:12 a.m. for possession of marijuana (less than one half ounce) and possession of paraphernalia. The court date was set for Aug. 19.
Robert J. Rivera, 34, of New Haven was arrested at 3 p.m. for illegally obtaining or supplying prescription legend drugs and second-degree forgery. The court date was set for Aug. 16.
August 4
Brianna L. Morris, 20, of Branford was arrested at 1 p.m. for third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. The court date was set for Aug. 5.
