Police Identify Prime Suspect in Rash of Burglaries

Branford Police let residents know that a “prime suspect” is being investigated in the Meadow Circle Road home burglaries.

Captain Geoffrey Morgan confirmed today that a “prime suspect” is being investigated for the that occurred on Meadow Circle Road last week. The investigation of this suspect is anticipated to lead to arrest, Morgan said on Monday, but an arrest has not yet occurred.

Affected residents of the area of Meadow Circle Road and Windmill Hill Road were notified over the weekend that a “prime suspect” was being investigated said Morgan. Since the spree of break-ins and attempted break-ins last week, Morgan said no other incidents have occurred in the area. There were four confirmed break-ins on Meadow Circle Road, stated Morgan last week.

Branford Police believed to be a white male, thin build, wearing a dark colored tank top who was last seen on Wednesday, Sept. 5 around noon in the area of 28 Meadow Circle Rd.

Items taken from homes included jewelry and electronics. Morgan said no one was home when residences were burglarized but some residents did arrive home, scaring off the intruder during the alleged thefts. No one was injured during the incidents.

Morgan said the department will update the public soon as an arrest is made. Check back with Patch for details.

Hopefully the BPD are responsible in how they treat this case. That's all I ask for.

A month later and still no arrest. Nice job. At least you guys know how to shake down local businesses for free food and hide behind building while on duty or smash up cruisers while speeding down route 1.
