(Update) Pedestrian Injured in Hit and Run; Police Are Looking for Suspect

Cadillac struck a pedestrian on April 6 on East Main Street.

Just after 9 p.m., and responded to a hit and run on East Main Street.  Officers determined that Gail Anderson, 61, of Branford was walking eastbound on East Main Street when she was struck by a vehicle traveling the same direction at the vicinity of 280 E. Main St., near St. Agnes Cemetery; there are no sidewalks in this area.

Branford Police Captain Geoffrey Morgan stated that the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Police report that a witness at the scene believes the vehicle was a dark colored mid-90s Cadillac (original police account stated the Cadillac was gray). The Cadillac is said to have vertical taillights with three "7"s in the registration.
