A Branford man and his girlfriend are facing charges that they burglarized a Hamden beauty school early Saturday morning.
Police got a report of a break-in at Marinello School of Beauty at 1245 Dixwell Ave., Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.
"Investigation revealed that entry was gained the previous evening and that an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the cash register," Smith said in a release Monday.
Officer Derick Manning investigated the incident, and that investigation led to the arrest of Nicole Pascale, 30, of 1798 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden, and her boyfriend, Mario Varriale, 42, of 207 Austin Ryer Lane, Branford.
Sergeant Michael Doherty and Officer Michael Nawrocki arrested Pascale and Varriale at Pascale’s home, Smith said.
Pascale was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and interfering with a police officer.
Varriale was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and reckless operation.
Both are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 13.
