One Arrested for Criminal Mischief and Third-Degree Strangulation
The following arrest information was supplied by the Branford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
September 6
Syed Saleem Ahmed, 42, of Branford was arrested at 6:50 p.m. for disorderly conduct. The court date was set for Sept. 7.
Anthony J. Proiette, 52, of East Haven was arrested at 6:48 a.m. for creating a public disturbance. The court date was set for Sept. 23.

Richard Louis, 30, of Wallingford was arrested at 10 p.m. for sixth-degree larceny and illegal use of credit card. The court date was set for Sept. 20.

Dwayne E. Blomster, 46, of Branford was arrested at 8:30 a.m. for violation of a protective order. The court date was set for Sept. 8.
September 8
Thomas J. McArdle, 63, of Branford was arrested at 8:32 p.m. for disorderly conduct. The Court date was set for Sept. 9.
Joseph A. Warner, 20, of Orange was arrested at 10:15 a.m. for sixth-degree larceny.
September 10
Ronald L. Brindisi, 58, of West Haven was arrested at 12:09 p.m. for creating a public disturbance. The court date was set for Sept. 23.
September 11
Robin L. Merenda, 48, of Wallingford was arrested at 4:53 p.m. for violation of a restraining order. The court date was set for Sept. 12.
Chen Tran, 43, of Branford was arrested at 9:45 a.m. for simple trespassing. In the same incident, Xuong Tran, 58, of Branford was also arrested for simple trespassing.
September 12
Julius Sadoc Nobles, 25, of New Haven was arrested at 9:30 a.m. for fifth-degree larceny. The court date was set for Sept. 12.
September 13
Michael Matthew Smith, 31, of Branford was arrested at 12:30 pm. For third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, threatening, and third-degree strangulation.
Michael T. Yester, 33, of East Haven was arrested at 3:30 p.m. for fifth-degree larceny. The court date was set for Sept. 20.
September 14
No arrests today but 17 motor vehicle infractions issued including using cell phone while driving and traveling unreasonably fast.
September 15
No arrests today but 21 motor vehicle infractions issued including using cell phone while driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
