Have You Thanked Your Public Safety Dispatchers Today?

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2014 runs from April 13-19. And that makes this week the perfect time to thank the first responders of our first responders.

Well, have you?

Professional 911 dispatchers are the first to answer and respond to that initial and urgent call for help — gathering critical incident information, deploying the proper police, fire and medical response resources and often remaining on the line to continue to provide assistance to callers and first responders alike.

To recognize and honor their integral role in every municipalities day-to-day public safety operations, every year the second week of April is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicators.

This year, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week runs from April 13-19.

And so, this week is the prefect time to shake their hands, give them a pat on the back — and just say, "Thank you."
