Man Wrecks Vehicle Following Alleged Domestic Dispute

John Antonucci of Branford flees police on foot after striking utility pole following report of domestic incident at his home.

Last night just after 9 p.m. John Antonucci, 46, of 20 Millwood Road, Branford was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Cedar Street near Harco Labortories causing heavy damage to the silver SUV he was operating.

were called to Antonucci’s home prior to the accident to investigate a domestic dispute, however, Antonucci left the residence prior to police arriving. As police investigated the dispute, Antonucci drove by the home, noticed police officers in the driveway and left the area at a high rate of speed, traveling southbound on Brushy Plain Road.

As Antonucci continued onto Cedar Street, he lost control of his vehicle, leaving the roadway, striking and severing off a utility police and a tree. Connecticut Light & Power were on scene later in the evening.

Prior to police arriving at the accident scene, Antonucci fled on foot into a nearby wooded area where he was taken into custody.

Antonucci was treated by paramedics and later transported to an area medical facility for non-life threatening injuries.

He is being charged with Disorderly Conduct; Criminal Mischief 3rd.; Threatening; Reckless Driving; Operating with a Suspended License; Evading Responsibility; Interfering with a Police Officer and is being held on a $5,000 bond.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
