The Branford Professional Fire Fighters Local 2533 a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is again conducting their annual Fill the Boot campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  The fire fighters will be standing out in front of Fire Headquarters at 45 North Main St., every weekend in the month of August for a few hours taking donations from the passing motorists who stop and wish to donate.  Motorists are not required to donate and many have given us kinds words of encouragement in lieu of a donation.

According to this year's MDA Chairman for the fire fighters, Branford's own Craig O’Rourke stated the goal is to collect $5,000 in donations.  Craig would like to thank the public in advance for their donations and hope that with their continued support that we all can win this fight against all forms of Muscular Dystrophy.
