East Haven Police Officer Sustains Injury Chasing Alleged Burglary Suspects Into Branford
Branford Police assist EHPD with motor vehicle stop at exit 53 to apprehend suspects.
Around 3:30 p.m. today, Branford Police responded to the I-95 exit 53 ramp to assist East Haven Police in a motor vehicle stop involving the apprehension of two alleged burglars. An East Haven Police officer sustained a hand injury and was transported to an area hospital during the incident.
East Haven Police could not be reached for comment but Branford Police could confirm that two suspects were arrested by East Haven Police officers after the motor vehicle stop.
Branford Police had the off-ramp blocked off to traffic for a short time and re-opened it by 3:45 p.m.
