Dunk the Branford Police to Benefit the Special Olympics

Want to take your shot at the Branford Police Department? You can as they'll be volunteering in the dunk tank at the Meat House on Sunday!

The officers of Branford Police Department are kicking off the annual Special Olympics fundraiser season on Sunday, June 2 with the first-ever Branford Police Dunk-A-Branford-Cop fundraiser. Several members of the Branford Police Department will be volunteering their personal time in order to raise money to support Special Olympics and all of their athletes.

The Branford Police Dunk-A-Branford-Cop fundraiser will be held in the Meat House parking lot, 103 North Main St. Branford, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those attending will have the opportunity to dunk their favorite (or least favorite officer) and enjoy food prepared fresh by the Meat House.

Free cotton candy, ice cream and face painting will be available. Curious Creatures will also be on hand at 1 p.m. with their educational display of exotic and unusual animals. There will also be raffle prizes with all proceeds for this event going to benefit the Connecticut Special Olympics athletes.

For additional information regarding this event, check out the Facebook event page. Branford’s Tip-A-Cop will also be held on June 3 at Lenny’s Indian Head Inn, 205 South Montowese Street. Officers will be waiting tables for tips for both the lunch and dinner crowds.
